The clear sky clock below has been configured to the SWAOG's dark site in Silver Springs, Illinois. With a little experience, one can quickly determine if ideal conditions exist for astronomical observing.
It should be noted that weather forcasts are grossly insufficient to determine ideal viewing conditions. A forcasted clear night sky may be terrible for telescopic viewing due to air turbulance and/or a low contrast sky. That is why its far better to use the clear sky clock.
